Living in Euless means you are quite literally in the center of it all. We are the heartbeat of the Mid-Cities, positioned right where the energy of Dallas meets the grit of Fort Worth. Whether you’re catching a flight out of DFW, navigating the construction on Highway 183, or enjoying a quiet afternoon under the canopy of trees at Bob Eden Park, life here is constantly moving.
But sometimes, being in the middle feels less like “balance” and more like being stuck.
If you are struggling with past trauma or symptoms of PTSD, you might feel like you are trapped between who you used to be and who you want to become. You might feel pulled in a dozen directions—just like the traffic at the 121 and 360 interchange—unable to find an off-ramp to peace.
I’m Anamile Guerra, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I help residents across Euless and the Mid-Cities find their footing again through online trauma counseling.
Finding Quiet in the Flight Path
Euless is known as “Tree City USA” for a reason. We celebrate our roots and our growth, from the legacy of Arbor Daze to the oaks lining the villages of Bear Creek. But when you are carrying the weight of trauma, it can be hard to feel grounded.
Trauma has a way of disrupting your internal landscape. Much like the roar of a plane taking off overhead can interrupt a conversation in Heritage Park, intrusive thoughts and memories can interrupt your daily life. You might find yourself:
- Feeling constantly “on guard” or jumpy, even in safe places like your own living room.
- Avoiding certain routes or places that trigger painful memories.
- Struggling to sleep because your mind won’t quiet down.
- Feeling numb or disconnected from your family, even when you’re right there with them at Glade Parks.
You don’t have to be a veteran to experience PTSD (though I certainly support those who are). Trauma can stem from accidents on our busy highways, difficult childhood experiences, workplace incidents, or loss. Whatever the source, your pain is valid, and you don’t have to carry it alone.
Why Telehealth Works for Euless Residents
Let’s be honest: the last thing you want to do when you’re feeling vulnerable is sit in gridlock on Airport Freeway.
One of the biggest barriers to therapy in the Metroplex is simply getting there. By the time you navigate the traffic on Industrial Boulevard or fight your way through the mid-day rush, you might arrive at an appointment feeling more stressed than when you left.
Yo ofrezco 100% online counseling to adults throughout Texas, with a specific focus on the needs of our local communities. This means you can attend your session from the comfort of your home in Morrisdale, your parked car during a lunch break near South Main, or anywhere you feel private and safe.
Telehealth allows us to focus entirely on tú, without the commute eating into your time or energy.
Mi enfoque hacia la curación
I believe that just like the trees our city is famous for, growth is always possible—even after a storm.
I am a bilingual counselor (fluent in English and Spanish), which allows me to serve the diverse fabric of our community. Whether you prefer to express your emotions in English or Spanish, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self.
My work is supervised by Jennifer Gonzalez, MS, LPC-S, and Amanda Varnon, MA, LPC-S. In our sessions, I draw from several evidence-based approaches to help you process trauma:
- Terapia centrada en la persona: We move at your pace. I’m not here to push you or “fix” you; I’m here to walk alongside you.
- Terapia cognitivo-conductual (TCC): We look at how negative thought patterns might be keeping you stuck in a cycle of fear or avoidance.
- Terapia Breve Centrada en Soluciones (SFBT): While we honor the past, we also look for practical, manageable steps you can take hoy to improve your quality of life.
- Psicología positiva: We identify your existing strengths—your resilience, your courage, your values—and use them as the foundation for your healing.
Turning a New Leaf
You might feel like your trauma defines you, but it is only one part of your story. The resilience I see in this community is powerful. From the families building lives in Founders Parc to the long-time residents who have watched this city grow from a small stop on the map to a bustling hub, there is a strength here that runs deep.
Therapy is about tapping into that strength. It’s about learning how to acknowledge the noise—the memories, the anxiety, the fear—without letting it drown out the rest of your life.
