LatinX Therapist

Living in Irving often means balancing two different worlds. On one hand, you have the polished, high-achieving energy of Las Colinas, with its Fortune 500 headquarters and gleaming skyline. On the other, you have the quiet, family-focused rhythm of Valley Ranch or the historic roots of the Heritage District.

But sometimes, no matter how "together" things look on the outside, you might feel like you’re quietly crumbling on the inside.

If you are waking up with a heaviness that doesn't go away, or if you feel like you’re just going through the motions of your life without actually being in it, you aren't alone. I’m Anamile Guerra, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and I help adults in Irving and across Texas navigate depression through secure, convenient online therapy.

When Success Feels Heavy

Irving is known as the "Headquarters of Headquarters." It’s a city of industry, diversity, and rapid growth. Whether you are climbing the corporate ladder at a company like McKesson or Fluor, or managing the demands of a family in Hackberry Creek, the pressure to maintain a perfect image can be exhausting.

Depression in high-achieving environments often masks itself. You might still be meeting your deadlines, showing up for your shifts at Baylor Scott & White, or getting your kids to school on time. But internally, you might be experiencing:

  • A persistent sense of numbness or sadness.
  • Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix.
  • Irritability or frustration over small things.
  • A feeling of isolation, even when you’re surrounded by people.

You don't have to wait until you can’t get out of bed to seek support. In fact, reaching out when you first notice that spark fading is one of the strongest things you can do.

Skip the 114 and 183 Gridlock

If you live in Irving, you know that "just a quick drive" is rarely a reality, especially when the airport traffic on SH 183 or the construction on Loop 12 gets involved. The last thing you need when you’re feeling low is the stress of sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on Highway 114 just to get to an appointment.

My practice is 100% telehealth for residents of Irving. This means you can attend your session from the privacy of your home in Valley Ranch, your office during a lunch break in Las Colinas, or anywhere you feel safe and comfortable.

Online counseling removes the barriers of commuting and parking, making it easier to fit mental health support into your actual life, not just your schedule.

Counseling That Speaks Your Language (Consejería en Español)

Irving is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country. I understand that language is deeply tied to emotion, and sometimes, English words just don't capture the weight of what you are feeling.

I am fluent in both English and Spanish. If you feel more comfortable expressing your emotions in Spanish, or if you find yourself switching between languages to find the right words, we can conduct our sessions in the way that feels most natural to you.

Ofrezco servicios de terapia en español para que pueda expresarse con total libertad y confianza.

My Approach: Practical Tools for Real Life

I don’t believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. We will work together to find what resonates with you.

My counseling style is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This means that while we will explore your feelings, we will also focus on:

  • Identifying patterns: recognizing the negative thought loops that keep you stuck.
  • Building strategies: creating practical coping mechanisms you can use immediately.
  • Looking forward: setting realistic goals to help you regain a sense of purpose and balance.

I also draw from Person-Centered Therapy and Positive Psychology. This simply means I see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be honest about your struggles without fear of criticism.

You Don't Have to Carry It Alone

Whether you are dealing with a major life transition, the lingering effects of trauma, or a depression that has slowly crept in over time, support is available.

You deserve to feel connected to your life again. You deserve to wake up with energy and hope.

I invite you to reach out. I offer a safe space where we can work together to help you find your footing.

I am currently accepting new clients in Irving via telehealth. Please contact me to schedule a consultation or to ask any questions you might have about the process.
