Living in Rosenberg, you get the best of two worlds: the historic charm of the railroad district and the energy of a city that’s growing fast. One minute you might be enjoying a quiet walk through Seabourne Creek Nature Park, and the next you’re navigating the bustle around Brazos Town Center.
But when you are dealing with depression, it doesn’t matter if you are in a quiet, historic neighborhood or a brand-new subdivision like Kingdom Heights—life can feel heavy. You might feel disconnected from the people around you, or perhaps you’re exhausted from trying to keep up with work, family, and the daily grind.
I am here to help you navigate through that fog. My name is Anamile Guerra, and I provide online counseling to help residents of Rosenberg and the surrounding areas find their footing again.
Why Online Therapy Works for Rosenberg
If you live here, you know that heading into Houston or Sugar Land for an appointment isn't always simple. The construction on US-59 (I-69) seems endless, and the traffic during rush hour can turn a "quick trip" into a stressful ordeal.
By choosing telehealth, you remove the commute entirely. You don’t have to worry about fighting traffic on the Southwest Freeway or rushing home to meet a sitter. You can log in from the privacy of your home in Summer Lakes, your office in Bonbrook Plantation, or even your parked car during a lunch break.
Online counseling allows us to focus 100% of our time on you, without the logistical headaches that often keep people from seeking support.
Understanding Depression
Depression looks different for everyone. For some, it’s a constant feeling of sadness that won’t lift. For others, it’s a numbness—like you’re going through the motions of your life but not actually feeling any of it.
You might notice:
- Loss of Interest: Things that used to bring you joy, like visiting the Rosenberg Railroad Museum or grabbing a meal in Historic Downtown, just don’t seem appealing anymore.
- Fatigue: You feel tired all the time, even after a full night’s sleep.
- Isolation: You might be withdrawing from friends and family, feeling alone even when you’re surrounded by a community in places like Briarwood Crossing or Walnut Creek.
- Negative Thoughts: It can be hard to silence the inner critic that tells you things will never get better.
I want you to know that these feelings are valid, but they do not have to be permanent. Depression is not a sign of weakness; it is a human experience that we can work through together.
Bilingual Support for a Diverse Community
Rosenberg has a rich, diverse culture, and for many families here, Spanish is the language of the heart. I am a bilingual counselor, fluent in both English and Spanish.
If you or a loved one feels more comfortable expressing emotions in Spanish, or if you navigate a bilingual household, I can provide a space where you don’t have to translate your feelings. Whether we speak in English, Spanish, or a mix of both (Spanglish is welcome here!), my goal is for you to feel fully understood.
How We Work Together
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering the tools and perspective you need to heal. I don't use a "one-size-fits-all" method. Instead, I blend different approaches to fit your specific needs:
- Person-Centered Therapy: We build a relationship based on trust and empathy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We look at how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. Together, we can identify negative thought patterns and replace them with more helpful ones.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): We focus on your strengths and what is already working in your life to build practical solutions for the future.
Whether you are a young professional managing the stress of a commute, a parent balancing a growing family, or an older adult adjusting to life’s changes, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) supervised by Jennifer Gonzalez, MS, LPC-S, and Amanda Varnon, MA, LPC-S. My journey in mental health began with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UTRGV, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from USW.
I am passionate about helping adults, older adults, and couples rediscover their strengths. I know that reaching out for help takes courage, especially when you are feeling low. I treat that courage with the respect it deserves.
Ready to Take the First Step?
You don’t have to navigate this alone. If you are ready to start feeling like yourself again, I invite you to reach out. We can schedule a consultation to see if we are a good fit and discuss how we can work toward a more balanced, fulfilling life.
I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.
